The Athenree Railway Station Refreshment Rooms are open for Athenree Teas first Sunday of the month 12 noon to 3pm. Enjoy an Athenree Tea while taking in the gardens and panoramic views of Tauranga Harbour.
First Sunday of the Month from April to December, and every Sunday from January to March.
Tours are welcome with prior notice of date and numbers.
Options to choose from:
Athenree Tea – This is the traditional, freshly baked scone topped with jam and cream accompanied by your choice of tea or coffee. Athenree Tea can be accompanied by a conducted tour through the house.
FOR GROUPS Of TEN OR MORE, High tea or Ploughmans platter – High tea includes Athenree Tea and a selection of freshly made sandwiches. A ploughman’s platter is made up of cold meats, cheeses and pickles served with a fresh roll.
As all of the Homestead staff are volunteers, it is important that we have firm dates and numbers in advance.
We do look forward to serving you at our beautiful venue where you can enjoy the sea and rural views from the deck outside or soak up the history of the station inside.
